Ever feel like you are devoting too much time in your business, you work so hard but you still have too much work to be done. Do you feel like you couldn’t be at your best and strategize the growth for your business because you simply have no time? If you’re smart and savvy in conducting yourself as an entrepreneur, what you’d want would be to spend your time on the tasks that would be the most beneficial in expanding your business.

To do this, it is imperative to outsource certain aspects of the business, enter the virtual assistant to the equation. A VA will help you be more productive and gain more time for yourself and to explore new ideas and avenues for growth. We might think that as the boss, we must learn all aspects of the trade and be infallible but no you do not have to. A good entrepreneur knows his strengths and weakness and only by admitting to yourself that you can’t micromanage everything will you become a better businessman. So to begin with, if you have no idea what tasks to delegate, you should ask yourself these three questions.

What I Can’t Do

The landscape of business is always evolving. The methods that worked best before may not be what works in the current environment. Technology has been a factor in improving our lives and as well as the way we do business. Social Media has been used as a platform to sell goods, as 4 out of 5 Americans now have smartphones. It is in these web platforms are where you can easily reach potential buyers. It may be easily for the younger generation but you do not need to know the ins and outs of Facebook and Twitter, all you have to do is to master your strengths and delegate your weaknesses.

What I Shouldn’t Do

With the issue of you having no time, you should be focused on the most critical tasks, those things that truly run company. Learning new thing and gaining experience may be good, but what if you will make a huge mistake or a bad deal, this may potentially lead to all the years of your hard work going down the drain. The work you do for your business is invaluable but are you really doing more good than harm by focusing your energy on tasks other people can do better than you. You do not have to be an expert on designing graphics for your brand and putting out content on your website. You do not need to spend significant time and be an expert on this aspect, all you have to do is to have a good eye and find the right people to do these jobs for you.

What I Don’t Like Doing

If you do not like what you are doing, you are more likely to commit mistakes and you may not be able to perform tasks at peak quality. You do not have to force yourself to do bookkeeping and the daily admin work. Hire someone else to do it and be stress free. By doing so you will be in a better frame of mind and be able to innovate new strategies for growth and have a better work-life balance.
